Platelet-rich plasma supplemented with hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a key molecule associated with skin moisture that has unique properties to retain water. It combines water and creates volume, stimulates cell migration.
Cellular Matrix is used in the same way as BCT.
A blood sample (usually 4-5 ml) is taken and mixed with anticoagulants. This step is very important because the hyaluronic acid slightly activates the platelets, which can lead to blood clotting. Such a reaction occurs when blood is not sufficiently mixed with anticoagulants.
After centrifugation, the red blood cells appear at the bottom of the tube, a gel separating above, then plasma and hyaluronic acid. Therefore, the tube should be turned several times to separate the platelets from the surface of the gel and to mix with the plasma. In this action, hyaluronic acid is mixed with platelet-rich plasma. When everything is mixed and the liquid becomes solid – it is ready for injection. Thrombin serum is not required for aesthetic injections because plasma is mixed with heliuronic acid and also it is thick.
Cellular Matrix is used in aesthetics and orthopedics (osteoarthritis of the knees and joints).
